Twitter gains animated like button ahead of today’s Arm Mac event

When you like a tweet containing the #AppleEvent hashtag on Twitter right now, it will be accompanied by an animation that fits the theme of the “One More Thing” invitation that Apple sent out to everyone for today’s event.

As a new form of marketing, Apple usually introduces these tiny animations while liking tweets that contain its event hashtags. The October 13 iPhone event also got its own beautiful like animation. While these may seem inconsequential, it certainly gets more people to hit the like button to try out the animation for themselves, thereby gaming Twitter’s algorithm to highlight those tweets and raising hype ahead of the event.

The like animation appears to feature a popping gradient similar to the “One More Thing” event invitation.

Apple is expected to announce a couple of new MacBooks with custom silicon, transitioning away from Intel processors. The new Arm MacBooks will offer improved performance and power efficiency.
