Good news for Jio customers as cellular giant slashes prices.

It looks like 26th of January is going to be a very happening day for Jio users. The cellular giant is back at increasing the hype level of the population in India. Yet, once again it’s aiming to maintain its user base by providing with revised prices on its plans.

Overall, there’s a 50% increase in the data that the company offers at a discount of Rs. 50 on its existing plans. All the plans that used to function on the 1GB data per day limit have now upgraded to 1.5GB per day. Similarly, the plans that used to offer a limit of 1.5GB per day will offer 2GB henceforth, starting from 26th of January.

These are the revised plans:

Cost Data Validity
Rs.149 1.5GB 28 Days
Rs.349 1.5GB 70 Days
Rs.399 1.5GB 84 Days
Rs.449 1.5GB 91 Days
Rs.198 2GB 28 Days
Rs.398 2GB 70 Days
Rs.448 2GB 84 Days
Rs.498 2GB 91 Days

Additionally, these plans have unlimited calling and benefits for both local and national calls, which is as per usual.

But, the news doesn’t end here. Jio has also announced a new plan which goes easy on its user’s pockets. Users will have to pay just Rs. 98 to avail 56GB of data for 28 days, set at a limit of 2GB per day. Although, one might suspect whether why did Jio introduce such beneficial plans for its users? Well, it’s to compete with the competition it has to face from Airtel.

For those who don’t know, Airtel also revised its plans recently to compete with Reliance’s staggering low prices. Anyone could clearly feel the heat between Jio and Airtel if they weren’t living under a rock. It now seems like being on par with Jio has become one of Airtel’s many idiosyncrasies.

But, we also can’t comment on Airtel’s future plans to thwart Jio’s recent pricing. Let’s hope its all sunny at the end of the day. Enjoy the Republic Day guys!
