Apple sends out invites for its next event: It’s September 12th.

After a flurry of speculations and some predictions, the official date for Apple’s biggest-ever event is now known. According to invites sent out by Apple, new products are set to be unveiled on September 12.

The invite on Apple’s website shows a champagne gold circular vector. Although, it’s not clear so as to what exactly it stands for. But, I’m guessing two things here: either it’s something related to the HomePod or it denotes changes in the authentication system- probably FaceID.

The second guess makes more sense since rumors suggest that all the new iPhones are supposedly going to ditch the fingerprint sensor, replacing it with the same or the improved FaceID system which is currently only present in the iPhone X.

Rumors also suggest a launch of three new iPhones, including an upgraded iPhone X with a 5.8-inch OLED screen. It’s possible that Apple could also launch a cheaper version of the iPhone X with a 6.1-inch LCD screen along with a high-end 6.5-inch OLED iPhone.

However, another exciting update (at least, for me) is the alleged addition of new glamorous colors to the new iPhones. There are also allegations that 3-D touch could also be removed from one of the iPhones.

New MacBooks and iPads are probably unlikely to release along with the new iPhones, contemplating the previous patterns followed by Apple. According to those patterns, MacBooks are always revealed later with an event in the fall.

Analysts pre-predicted that this event was going to be held on September 12. Those predictions were made considering other suppositions regarding the sale date of the new iPhones, made by other analysts.

As far as the price is concerned, the iPhone X successor is probably going to have a reduced price tag of $800-$900. The plus model will be having a price tag of $1000 and the cheaper versions will be well-set for $600-$700. While these aren’t significant downgrades in the price range, it’s what we’ll have to work with.

Anyway, we’ll be doing a live blog on the event, as it will begin at 10 AM PDT on 12 September. So, see you on the other side…
